Here’s a look at how my customers’ purchases are aging over time. Each item will develop its own unique patina depending on how you use it, how often, and what it’s exposed to. That’s the magic of using high-end Full Grain Vegetable Tanned Leather.

This thick cut single layer gun belt is as tough as they come for single ply gun belts. At 1.5 inches wide it also makes for a great everyday belt that is very comfortable if you do not carry a holster on it quite as often. The belts I make are different than what you may have experienced in the past. I use what is called Full-Grain leather sourced from the top tannery in the U.S. (over 150 years old!). Full grain leather is the outermost layer of the cow's hide and has the densest level of fibers, giving it high resistance to stretch and wear. You'll notice the difference as soon as you get your hands on this gun belt, it's in a league of its own. It ages beautifully too - creating a darker patina over time. I recommend the single layer 1.5 inch gun belts for those that tend to carry medium to light duty guns. They are strong enough to hold up well and as mentioned, you can comfortably wear them when not carrying. If you have a full size weapon and carry often, or tend to carry even more on the belt itself (extra mags, etc), you may want to look at my Double Layer Gun Belts, some of which have the option for a reinforced core.
This single layer gun belt is made so that you can remove or replace the buckle as necessary by unscrewing the two Chicago screws. The backside is stamped with our Maker's mark and a unique and sequential number. You can add your own name or initials too. Every gun belt is made on a per-order basis just for you, right here in my small U.S. workshop. It'll come with a free tin of my shop made conditioner to help keep the fibers happy over its lifetime.

Cut from one layer of U.S. Full Grain Leather and stitch-free, this is best used for smaller subcompact guns and lighter duty. It’s a very thick belt, around 3 U.S. quarters thick and makes for a great every day belt. This style will not have stitching, and does not have the option for reinforced cores.
SIZE:
To get an accurate size measurement use your current belt and place the holster on it in the way you would normally wear it. Note that IWB/concealed holsters typically require a longer belt, so measuring this way will account for that. Then please see the size chart photo for details on how to get your correct belt size by measuring your own belt. Don’t use pants or waist size as it will not work and we cannot exchange or refund for size.
BUCKLE OPTIONS:
All buckles are made of solid brass and have an outer finish of your choice.
EDGE OPTIONS:
REGULAR – I hand bevel the inner edge and they remain untreated.
WAXED – After hand beveling, the edges are then slicked and burnished smooth. I then apply a layer of wax which is hand-polished into the edge. This creates a nice, clean look, pleasing to the eye.
DYED – This option can be chosen along with the above. The edges will be darkened with black dye. It’s a nice touch with the brown leather especially. You do not need to select this option if you are ordering a black leather belt.
PERSONALIZATION:
On this belt personalization will go between the two chicago screw on the back side of the buckle area.
Note on the handmade process: Numerous tools and machines are used to make this belt, once in a while there may be the occasional marking on the leather. If it cuts into the leather, I always replace the piece before shipping out.
