FAQ

Below are the answers to some of the most asked questions I have received in the past. If you still need help, feel free to contact me here.

When will my order be ready to ship?

Everything in the shop is handmade on a per order basis. This means that once your order is placed, your item is put in line to be made in my workshop. We do not keep any inventory on hand, so depending on the item chosen, time of year and day you order, for wallets and small accessories it can take 2 to 5 business days typically. Bag orders may take a few extra days to make. Holsters or gun belts have a specific lead time that changes depending on current demand and you can find up to date lead times here. Stitched belt lead times are listed on that product’s page. Please get in touch if you want a better idea of the current wait for custom items. Once in a while I go out of town to the desert to relax, but usually it will not delay things by much! If you want a better idea of when your order will ship, feel free to get in touch via the contact page.

When will my order arrive?

When your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation with the tracking link. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it! Just click on the tracking link and you will see the status of your package. Note that the USPS updates it after 24 hours have passed. Typical USPS delivery times are ‘usually’ 3 – 5 business days, please read below for more info. If you created an account when you ordered, you can track it through the My Account page here.

All USPS services including Priority and Express

Since we are not able to control how the USPS service operates we cannot offer delivery day guarantees. The stated service is subject to their own changing terms and conditions so please be aware of the current conditions that may effect and extend normal delivery times (pandemic, weather, holiday rush etc..)

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we ship to a few select international countries, for the current list please check the ‘Calculate Shipping’ link on the cart page.

For U.K. Customers please see this page for how to order.

For all E.U. Customers please see this page for more info on how to order and info on the VAT and Duty charges.

If your country is not listed as an option on the cart page: I can only offer to ship to a ‘Package Forwarding’ service of your choice. Please find more info on how to do this on this page here.

Please note that almost all countries outside of the U.S. now require payment of an import duty upon picking up your package at your local post office. More info on that on our shop policies page here.

Do you have a warranty?

Every item I make is covered under my 100 Year Guarantee. You can read the details about the coverage here.

How do I care for my leather goods?

High quality leather needs a little bit of oil every once in a while to keep the fibers healthy and strong. In general most items need a bit of conditioning once every six months. I have already conditioned your item  before it leaves the shop, so you are good to go for at least six months. I also include a free tin of my in-shop made natural leather conditioner. The tin should last about 2 years for a typical wallet. To read more info on conditioning and watch a short video, check out this page here.

What type of leather do you use?

All of the items in my shop are made from U.S. Full Grain Vegetable Tanned leather from one of the last (and best) American Tanneries left. All dog collars and leashes are made from Full Grain Latigo Leather from U.S. Steerhide. More info on leather quality here.

What type of hardware do you use?

All of my rivets are solid brass with a nickel plating, this includes most snaps, and grommets. A lot of my other hardware is stainless steel. I’ve spent years sourcing each piece. The high quality of hardware mixed with the best leather you can buy makes for one durable product line!

Do you use chemicals in your process?

Simply put, nope. The closest thing to a chemical in my workshop is the alcohol I use once in a long while to wipe down a table top. All of my dye and conditioner is all-natural and chemical free. I’m n this for the long haul and from the very beginning I chose a path to develop dye and conditioner that’s safe to use.

Do you have a return or exchange policy?

Yes I do – you can find the full details here. In general if your item is unused and not personalized, you’ll have 30 days to request a return. Some items are not returnable, such as bags and any custom sized items like belts and collars. See the policy page for more info.

Do you take custom orders?

At this time I am not taking any custom requests no mater how small or large, sorry! Shop duties have spread me a bit too thin to take on custom work.

Do you sell your items wholesale?

I sure do, but only to select established retailers (small or large). Get in touch with me directly if you own a shop and we can get you set up.
